Maintenance contract for over 60 Landfill Sites across the country.
Design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of HV plant, HV and LV cabling, earthing system, G59/1 protection testing and commissioning to suit the requirements of land fill gas site generation sites. This includes domestic wiring, sub contracting and supervising civil works and assistance with design / specification of all major components.
EPS are currently undertaking design and feasibility studies for Novera on an Off Shore Wind Farm project at Scarweather Sands, Porthcawl, to determine the Grid Connection point and Wind Farm design.
Contracted to undertake 33/11kV transformer maintenance, 11kV switchgear maintenance, protection testing and generation site surveys/inspections.

HV/LV protection testing and commissioning works.
Manufacture and wiring of 33/11kV Transformer AVC and protection panel and remote indications and control panel.
Install, test and protection commission a new 11kV ALSTOM switchboard at a joint WPD/client substation. EPS also undertook the provision of a remote indications and control panel, control wiring, battery charger installation, 11kV jointing and commissioning the completed WPD/customer installation.
Western Power Distribution
Carry out the supply and installation of a re-furbished Hawk-gas 12 11kV ACB including carrying out all secondary wiring, fitting protection relays, CT’s etc to suit WPD specification.
Carry out modifications to an operational 11kV Primary Substation switchboard including installation of sensitive earth fault relays and changing the existing closing mechanisms for motor wound.
Biffa Waste Services
Principal Contractor for design and new of new facility near Swindon including all civil work, mechanical (gas and oil) and LV / HV installations.
Clarke Energy
Numerous Landfill and Combined Heat and Power projects acting as lead electrical contractor liaising directly with both Clarkes and the end client in finalising design and resolving issues on site. Recently EPS was the sole electrical contractor at 2 collieries in Yorkshire; the first used 6 Jenbacher 1MW engines, and linked into the existing colliery HV network. The second involved 4 off 3.5 MW 6.6Kv generators which need complete wiring out including all control cabling.
Renewable Energy Systems
Lendrums Bridge Wind Farm
Site supervision of 33kV, SCADA and earth cable installation, 33000/690V transformer pre-commissioning, LV cabling between transformers and WTG controller, earth testing and 33kV metering upgrade.
Altahullion Wind Farm
Site supervision of 33kV, SCADA and earth cable installation, 33000/690V transformer pre-commissioning, LV cabling between transformers and WTG controller, earth testing and 33kV metering upgrade.
Provide technical services, including earthing system designs, for Windfarm projects in UK, USA, Canada, Portugal, & France.
Carrying out soil resistivity / earth testing for a new wind farms projects in England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, USA, France and Portugal, Blackhills windfarm involved laying over 12km of HV cable. Mynydd Clogau and Glens of Foundland Wind Farms laying 33kV, SCADA cables throughout the sites. Each turbine had an earth mat laid and the LV cables between generator and transformer. The substations needed complete wiring out together with consultancy given at the commissioning phases.
